Cadillac XLR Tuning

Throughout it’s history Cadillac has only ever had two true roadsters, the first being the Allante and the second being the famed XLR. Even though it was based on the outgoing Corvette C4 platform, the XLR was not a new car based on old tricks. Not only was the XLR Cadillac’s newest entry into the super luxury sports car class, it also featured an all new design scheme as well as an industry leading aluminum folding roof.

It wasn’t all about looks though, the XLR came equipped with a 320 horsepower, 4.6 liter Northstar V8 that was good to 60 miles an hour in just over five seconds. The less produced V-Series version of the XLR used the same supercharged Northstar motor as the STS-V. Although it was detuned from factory to 435 horsepower, XLR owners always found the best ways to achieve the most power.

The fastest and easiest way to achieve the most power from your XLR or XLR-V would be to bring it to Smokey’s Dyno and Performance. We will use the state-of-the-art Superflow Autodyne 880E all wheel drive dynamometer to measure airflow and gas flow levels; allowing our technicians to give you a bespoke custom tune for your vehicle and needs. If you want more than just simple ECU tuning, Smokey’s Dyno and Performance can set your XLR up with virtually any part you need for your car. Be it performance or visuals, let us give your car the once over.
